The college is located at the gateway of Mombasa near Moi international Airport, along Moi International Airport Road, Port Reitz Ward, Changamwe Sub-County, in Mombasa County.
It is about half a kilometer before and on the left hand side of the Airport Police first check point at Mwingo village, facing the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The institution on the other side is about seven kilometers from Miritini SGR Station
Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute offers CBET courses at Artisan, Craft and Diploma levels, plus a variety of short-courses in the part-time programmes. All the courses offered at Craft Certificate and Diploma levels incorporate Entrepreneurship Training, ICT and Industrial Attachment to prepare the trainees for formal and self-employment.

The institution was registered in the year 2016 and opened its doors to trainees in various programmes in September 2017. Its core mandate is to provide technical skills for utilization by industry and innovative skills for job creation through self-employment by trainees.
