Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute (ASMTTI) is managed by a Board of Governors (BOG), appointed by the Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ministry of Education. The Principal is the Secretary to the Board of Governors. The institute (ASMTTI) is a public technical and vocational training institution, established under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SDTVET). The institution was registered in the year 2016 and opened its doors to trainees in various programmes in September 2017. Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training The Institution operates under the Education Act, TVET Act 2013 and offers curricular developed by Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC), Kenya Institute of curriculum development (KICD), National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) among others.

The institution on the other side is about seven kilometers from Miritini SGR Station 03 Great Courses Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute offers CBET courses at Artisan, Craft and Diploma levels, plus a variety of short-courses in the part-time programmes. All the courses offered at Craft Certificate and Diploma levels incorporate Entrepreneurship Training, ICT and Industrial Attachment to prepare the trainees for formal and self-employment.
